Jan 04, 2011: DELTA have completed a CAPSM partnership pilot (working with Time 4U and Clued Up) to deliver education to CAPSM in a safe informal setting and with appropraite follow-on support.

Welcome to D.E.L.T.A.

DELTA plans, develops and delivers drug education sessions for primary schools, secondary schools, youth clubs, youth workers, community groups, concerned parents and professional workers.

At DELTA we neither condone nor condemn drug use. However, we stick strictly to the philosophy of prevention and harm reduction, with the overall aim of offering an educational/training service which is non-threatening, non-stigmatising and non-judgemental.

We deliver sessions in schools and communities across Fife and we work very closely with Fife Constabulary and Fife Council. This collaborative work represents an 'added value' - our partnership approach yields more than simply the sum of its parts.

Our SMART aims:-

To promote healthy lifestyles, choices and opportunities.

To raise awareness and understanding of the risks and consequences of substance misuse.

To develop and deliver education and information initiatives for young people in order that they make informed decisions around issues related to drugs and alcohol.

To plan, develop and implement drug and alcohol education sessions for schools, youth clubs and community groups.

To train and support professionals working with people affected by drug, alcohol or sexual health issues.

To provide accurate and up-to-date information on drug and/or alcohol related isssues to young people, parents, families and communities.

To promote effective access to substance misuse recovery services.

To provide a confidential condom distribution service alongside appropraite sexual health information.

To work collaboratively and in partnership with other agencies within the voluntary and statutory sectors.
