Boozebusters

DELTA were proud to support the 'Boozebusters' initiative which aimed to explore issues surrounding alcohol misuse with second year High School pupils in an interactive and interesting way. Adam Smith College (latterly the Re-cognition Theatre Company) performed a short drama which took young people through a series of scenarios they may have found themselves involved in; raising issues, concerns, responsibilities, potential life experiences and outcomes associated with under-age drinking. Workshops then covered health, legal and social consequences of under age drinking and were facilitated by police, health, council and voluntary sector staff.

Boozebusters was a partnership involving NHS Fife, Fife Constabulary and Fife Council. Other partners include Adam Smith College and D.E.L.T.A.

It is hope that some form of delivery and resource will still be made available to schools from the 2011 school term onwards.
